Furnished small guesthouse for rent. Less than a 10-minute drive east of Lockhart. Available in November, 288 sq ft plus another 150 sq ft of loft spaces for sleeping and storage. You need to be agile enough to climb an "alternate tread" staircase (see picture) to one loft for sleeping and a ladder to a second smaller loft. Due to the small space this is best suited for ONE adult and minimal belongings. (Please read ALL of the description before responding: Click on "show more".) NO PETS ALLOWED. No smoking. No laundry. A background check will be done. Prior rental experience is required. $350 deposit. The Hughesnet satellite WIFI from my house reaches but is not guaranteed and can be limited. It has a wooden covered porch with view of our pasture, a quiet mini-split for AC/heat, full bath with bathtub/shower. The kitchen area has a sink, small fridge, hot burner, microwave, toaster oven, and some dishes supplied if needed. NO stove/oven. Vinyl flooring. A clean mattress with mattress cover is supplied in the loft. There are also a loveseat, a reclining chair, and fold-up wall table. This is in my yard with lots of bushes and trees that look quite nice in the spring and fall (when it rains!). My house is about 150 feet from the guesthouse, so it is quite private. There is a side driveway to the guesthouse. You will have access to the yard with shady areas if you would like to relax, read, etc. There is also one other renter in another separate building. The county road is paved. I have one friendly dog on the premises. Composting and recycling are encouraged. Since this is in my yard, I MUST BE A BIT PICKY about my renters. I prefer that you message me to tell me something about yourself and why this situation would work for you, plus any questions you have. It will be a three-month lease to start, then on a month-to-month lease or longer if we find compatibility. Me: easy-going, retired, enjoy nature and projects, environmentally friendly, liberal. I like quiet, no drama. If you still support the current Trump administration, WE WON'T GET ALONG. I don't do the Zillow application thing. I pay utilities. No pets allowed. No laundry. No smoking. Three month lease, then month-to-month.
