The newly renovated three-bedroom, two-bath Whippoorwill Cabin, is fewer than 2 hours from downtown Atlanta and 1 hour from Greenville. You'll enjoy the peace and quiet of our rural location...watch Canada geese paddle in the lake or maybe catch a glimpse of wild turkeys or deer from the comfort of the screen porch. The rustic cabin, decorated in a relaxed country style, features an open floor plan thats great for entertaining and larger groups. Sliding glass doors across the entire back of the house ensure a panoramic view of woods and the water from the living room, dining room and kitchen. The Master bedroom also features a deck, perfect for the morning cup of coffee. The Master also has a brand-new flat panel television. All the bedrooms can be closed off for privacy and kids earlier bedtimes. The cabin comfortably sleeps 8 (1 King, 1 Queen, and 2 bunk beds). The outdoor area includes a picnic table and charcoal grill. A gentle slope takes you down to the dock and shallow kids play area (owners boat stays in slip but there is room to tie up on the dock). Use of a kayak ensures excellent exploring and fishing in the cove. We are also very close to the big water if you bring your own boat or Jet ski. The house is five minutes from the boat launch at Milltown Campground. (If you need to rent a boat, we can help you with that process.) The property and dock face farmland across the cove so your view is green and natural. A perfect afternoon might be curling up with a book on the screen porch, surrounded by trees with the sounds of birds. Other amenities include fully equipped brand-new kitchen with microwave and new dishwasher and refrigerator; new washer and dryer; kids toys and games; and selection of books and magazines. The cabin is 3 miles from a convenience store, five minutes by car from Carter's Ferry Boat Ramp, 10 miles (20 minutes)to historic downtown Hartwell, and 9 miles to Hartwell Marina.
