The iconic mid-century neighborhood of Painted Hills was developed by S.I. Schoor in the 60's. This was the first and finest home, built for Schoor and his family, and designed by architect David Swanson in 1966. Schoor had much input and happily recalls putting in the redwood paneling in the sunken living room with high beamed ceilings and huge glass door/windows. His home was built on the lay of the land with higher ceilings on the very large north-side of the home (master bedroom, living/dining room, kitchen, and hearth room) with a long hallway to the south opening to his children's' bedrooms, which open to the large, private patio area. A pool was added in 2000. This home has been loved and maintained by it's three long term owners, and is largely original. See the virtual tour!
