What We love about living in Quail Ridge Estates, Catalina AZ I love the sheer charm of this picturesque community. Each home is unique in style, size or location. Many are beautifully enhanced by the owner's individual and tasteful creativity in their garden, on their porch or on their walls. So refreshing in a 55+ community. There are many established fruit trees and tall, graceful mesquite, pine and palm trees. The lushness brings shade, birdlife, blossoms and abundant fruit. Walking around the park is a pleasure. Our home allows us to enjoy panoramic and unobstructed views of the desert and Catalina mountain range. Spectacular. We also enjoy gorgeous panoramic views of both sunrises and sunsets from our home and front porch. Glorious. An essential part of Arizona living. The pool has a breathtaking view of palms and mountains and is never crowded. Often we're alone in the pool. By the pool is a pretty barbecue patio with tables and umbrellas. Next to that is the clubhouse that offers group seating and a large kitchen. It was wonderful to have that for a large, multi-state family gathering at Thanksgiving. The clubhouse also has a small library, private hot tub room, ping pong and more. My husband and I enjoy these resources regularly. We enjoy quiet and private living but we do enjoy the monthly potluck dinners with entertainment. There's plenty more if you want it, too. We moved here to escape a larger 55+ golfing community with far more people, clubs, activities and consequently, far more contentious opinions, decisions, power plays and costs. There are others here who felt just like us. We love the location. It's near all the upscale amenities, restaurants and golf communities in Oro Valley and Saddlebrook Ranch but we're living "village life". There's a post office, Basha's supermarket, police and fire stations, a selection of good restaurants and the famous Golden Goose thrift store that has high-end treasures and finds.
