    We designed and built this rustic home sitting on 7 acres with plans for it to be our forever home in 2011, but we are getting older and need less acreage and house to take care of. The house is finished in cypress with a rock skirt and red metal roof. It sits on 7 acres and most of the back is fenced. We planted plots for deer in the far back next to the woods where my husband has killed several deer. There is a large utility shed that would make a great barn. We used it for tractor storage and had chickens housed in it at one time. The shop building is 30 x 40 with the front half being an efficiency apartment complete with full size refrigerator, cabinets, counters, large sink, washer/dryer hookup, space for a stove, concrete floors and a full bath with large walk in shower. We lived in the apartment while we were building the house and have rented it out a few times over the years. The back half of the shop is a work area with work benches and a drive through door. My husband’s hunting room is also located in this area and has cedar walls. There is a covered breezeway with ramp wide enough for a wheelchair from the carport to the back porch. There is a lot of storage in this kitchen with a wall of pantry cabinets. This home features an open floor plan and has laminate and tile floors throughout, no carpet. There is a Gas Jenn-Air stove top and separate electric wall oven, Bosch dish washer, large island with seating, glass mosaic tile back splash, and under cabinet work lights. The main feature of this home is a custom built cypress and stone fireplace that goes all the way to the 15 ft. vaulted ceiling with gas logs including remote. TV, satellite and other components have been hard wired over the fireplace. On demand hot water means lower utility bills and never running out of hot water. Guest bath has large jetted tub and subway tile as well as a mosaic glass tile as a chair rail. There is also a large linen closet in this bathroom. Master bedroom has a door onto back porch. The covered back porch is over sized and can accommodate several seating areas as well as a swing and large dining table. Both porches are equipped with ceiling fans. There are two natural stone vessel sinks in the master bath as well as a large walk in shower and private water closet that houses the toilet. The large walk in closet accommodates our dresser and is open to the master bath for ease of use. The home is finished with sheetrock inside and has cypress and cedar wood trim throughout. There are wood blinds on all of the front windows. We have several raised garden beds in the backyard that we have grown a lot of veggies in.
