Time has marched on, much too quickly. My family has come to the conclusion that we have aged out of our home “Heron Hill”, a beautiful estate that we carved out of the farming district of Foley; an area that stole our hearts 30 years ago.
We built our all brick, Gold Fortified, four bedroom home with love and spared no expense as we thought we would be here forever.
I will miss how beautiful the approach to our home is as it proudly sits on a knoll receiving eastern sunrises on the covered rear veranda with a wood burning fireplace where my pets love to rest, and the gorgeous Alabama western sunsets that rush across the formal dining room table.
My vision of a long driveway nestled between white Crape Myrtles on either side is now a mature vision and those little sticks that we lovingly planted bloom profusely during the southern summers.
