    What the owner loves about this home
    We absolutely love our neighborhood, the town, and the people here so much that we refer to it as “Mayberry”. For this reason, our family has been in this town for 50+ years and this home has been remodeled 5 times in the 30+ years we owned it. We’ve never even considered moving until now, as the value is not only in the low taxes/property itself & but in the town as a whole; the state of the art recreational parks/fields, the highly rated schools, many restaurant options, walking paths/hiking trails/lakes/rivers, safe neighborhoods, accessibility for commuters/public transportation, and all that it has to offer including but not limited to its proximity to New York City, airports, Mountain Creek (skiing & waterpark), The Jersey Shore, multiple malls (American Dream, Garden State, Willowbrook), and grocery/convenience stores. Pompton Plains is, in our opinion, the very best place to raise a family. However, this property could also work as a STR! There is a lake/beach for swimming and another lake behind that one for fishing and small boats, a walking/biking path, convenience stores, and baseball fields, all within walking distance of our home. The neighborhood is quiet and the people are very friendly. Lastly, the property backs up to the woods, as can be seen in the photos, where there is a river and an abundance of wildlife.
