The Zestimate on this unique and functional camp on Cathance Lake is so far off it's funny. Nothing on Cathance Lake sells for that price but maybe a lot with no structures on it. This camp was built out of a Quonset Hut in 1946 by two retired pitchers from the then Boston Braves, as a boys' camp. It has been lived in year around. The one acre has approx. 100' of water front, and is divided into two lots. One lot has no structures on it. "Camp Easy" is granfathered in very close to the water line. New structures must be set a good distance back from shore. Machias, Maine, is about about 25 minutes South from the camp, following Route 191, Calais, Maine, about 25 minutes North. Cathance Lake is spring fed, one of two in the state. Salmon fishing is popular, as is ice fishing, skating, snow mobiling, boating, kayaking, sailing. This is in Downeast Maine, home of the Bold Coast hiking trail, among many others trails and sights. PS–The refrigerator is borrowed and will need to be returned. It does not go with the camp.
