Instead of traditional rent, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being of our 2 dogs when we don't travel with them, 2 goats, 1 cat, and small flock of ducks and chickens when we travel. This includes daily feeding, watering, cleaning their enclosures, monitoring their health, providing companionship (especially for the dogs), and collecting eggs. Additionally, you will be responsible for the upkeep of our vegetable garden, lawn, and other plants by watering them regularly and performing basic garden maintenance like weeding when we are away during the summer months. In the winter when we travel, you will need to monitor the main house on the property. This arrangement offers a unique opportunity to live in a cozy, farm-stay dwelling for a significantly reduced cost in exchange for your reliable and dedicated care on the days that we travel. We are looking for someone with proven experience in animal care, a strong sense of responsibility, and basic gardening skills. You must be comfortable managing a variety of animals and committed to ensuring their health and happiness, as well as maintaining our garden whenever we are gone. This is an ideal situation for a responsible individual who loves animals and enjoys gardening, and whose schedule (ideally a remote worker) allows for these responsibilities during our periods of travel.
