Hartwright Rd. Owner’s Notes: Hundreds of years ago archetects searched for specific geographical charactoristics ideal for the placement and construction of a home. We were looking for a constant air flow that could create natural freah air circulation within the home. That search lead us to 1800 Hartwright road. The property had perfect location for complementary solar while offinging pleasant views and a constant gentle breeze. We origionally found this property while doing an archtectural study of air flows in the area. The specific geography of the sourounding hills and proximity to the ocean generated this breeze yearound. Additionally, were looking for a property with both east and west and facing views. We wanted to be able to watch the sun rise on one side and watch it set from the other without exposing the remainging public rooms to the heat of the setting sun every evening. 1800 Hartright is a longer rectangular acre elevated from the street with it’s highest point close to the middle. Our concept was to build the main house more to the east obscured by trees with the guesthouse on the west or street side. A long serpentine, tree lined driveway would further obscure the view and privatize the main house from the lower street. The property has several large white marker boards with centermarks designed to be clearly visible from google earth. These marker board arearchetectural reference points. The water tap-in is complete and the meter is in place. There is alsoan active sewer connection with 150ft. of 4” lateral running up the hill. This was done to accommodatethe future construction along with an onsite construction office trailer. We had an ambitious plan for the property which is shown in the attached drawing overlay. Unfortunately, covid caused us to remodle our existing home and delay our start at Hartwright. The property is also roughly 1,0000ft. from a Sprinter mass transit station.
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Zillow. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.
