TWO BEDROOM / TWO BATH ON A 4 ACRES WOODED RETREAT W/ HOTTUB AND SCREENED PORCH (UPPER RED HOOK) We're looking to rent our house in Hudson Valley from December 1, 2026 to May 1, 2027 while we are away for winter. (Yes, this is an entire house... we are trying to get Zillow to change their records that this is an apartment.) The house is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath in a forest with windows onto the woods (Shields Rd, Red Hook, NY 12571). Perks include an outdoor hot tub (if desired), a screened in porch, 200 feet of trout stream, split units for heating and cooling, and a workout room in a separate studio where you can also put a house guest for short periods (it's shared with our guest house renters). This is the house we live in-- there are also full time renters in our guest house on the property. It comes fully furnished. As repeated below in the lease terms: water, hot water, electric, propane, heat, cooling, internet are all paid by us. We will add a flat fee of $250/month for these services. Tenant has the option to use the hot tub on the premises for an additional $150/month. This is a very unique situation because you'll be in our house. A good relationship and friendly vibes are important. We've had great luck in previous winters. All folks are encouraged to inquire, but in prior winters we've typically rented to couples using the place as a primary or second home while they learn about the area and decide whether or not to purchase their own place or find a longer term rental. As noted, the house comes furnished-- so it is perfect for a short term lease without the stress of furnishing a place.
