(See air bnb for summer vacation rental) Lewes Farmette: Entire quiet 3-bedroom, 2 full bath, 1938 refurbished and fully furnished farmhouse is surrounded by countyside, yet only a few miles to Town of Lewes. *Fully Furnished *Granite countertops *New Stainless appliances *Utilities and WIFI included *October until May only Our single-family, 2 story farmette sits on 1+ acre, is surrounded by agricultural farm land (minus the farm animals). You will feel like you are in the country, with lovely day-breezes and night star-gazing galore, yet close to amenities. Built in 1938, the house has been tenderly updated and modernized, yet retains its original charm, and is very quiet, tranquil, and private. The bay, ocean, restaurants, and shopping are minutes away. Our off-season SHORT-TERM month-to-month rental (until May only) is ideal for traveling professionals, temporary business assignments, a family or couple waiting for house to be built, relocation house searching, visiting family in the area for extended stay, etc. Maximum occupancy is 6 people. Our goal is for you to enjoy the home and to keep our home inviting for all our current and future guests. Included with short-term, month to month rental: fully furnished entire house, washer/dryer, all new stainless appliances. * UTILITIES ARE INCLUDED in the monthly rate (electric, A/C & heat, water, free WiFi, trash service, lawn service). Guests may be charged for excessive electricity exceeding normal usage. Not included: * 4.5% short term rental tax for Delaware * $250 cleaning fee * Garages are NOT included. The house rental is separate from the property and the barn or storage areas. The house utilizes well water and a septic system. If you are not familiar with septic, we ask you to be cautious with putting unusual things down the drain or toilet. For example: you should not put grease or solid food or harsh chemicals down the kitchen sink, nor excessive dirty or sandy clothes in the laundry, nor feminine sanitary products down the toilet, etc. We require all Guests to treat our home with respect and care. It is an 86 yr old house that has been tenderly renovated, maintains its old charm, and may need extra care. * Trash must be removed from the home and into the supplied bins on a frequent basis to keep insects, vermin, and critters outside in the country where they belong. * No more than 6 people staying in the home during the entire rental period. * No destruction of property or furnishings. * No parties or raves or large gatherings without previous permission. * No pets. * No smoking inside the house and no cigarette or cigar butts tossed on the ground. * No fireworks. No illegal substances. It's an older house made of wood. For winter (off season) monthly stays: 1. The owner reserves the right to be reimbursed for excessive electric usage over $300 per month. 2. The owners require a professional cleaning each month (over 28 days) and will add the additional cleaning fee to the extended stay. 3. There is a maximum stay of 120 days in order to maintain our short term rental status within the state of Delaware Rental Requirements: Rental agreement, background and credit check, plus an interview are required. This mid-term, off-season rental is not intended as a lease and contains no tenant or landlord relationship. Rates: Off-season MONTH to MONTH rates are available from October through April only. During the summer months the house is a vacation rental (with a 3 night minimum). No monthly discounted rates are available from May through September. Storage garages: Our storage garages and pole barn are a separate rental entity from the rental house. The garages and pole barn may be accessed during reasonable hours, without notice to the house renter(s). Efforts to notify the house renter will be made so that the parking areas can be clear of vehicles. We ask guests to refrain from parking in front of the pole barn. Garages are not included with house rental, unless agreed to in advance and with additional fees. The Lewes Farmette is a property owned and managed by Storage Warriors, LLC
