Watertown: 3 Bedroom apartment available on the top 2 floors of a big beautiful old 2-family house. The house is on a quiet, leafy side street in a friendly, safe neighborhood 10 or 15 mins walk from Watertown Sq. Nice park and tennis/ basketball courts a few blocks away. Lots of character and nice detail throughout the house. The apartment has a large open plan living room with gas fireplace, dining room, kitchen, 1 bathroom (no -that's not open plan..) plus an enclosed sun porch at the rear overlooking the garden (yes there's an enclosed garden with lawn and flowerbeds..). The 2 bedrooms on level 1 are medium size, with closets, and level 2 has a large master bed, plus 2 additional rooms (could be home offices etc) if needed there is extra space for storage in the semi-converted basement. There are 2 garage parking spaces, plus 2 more on the driveway for off street parking. There is a washer and dryer in basement for this unit, and there is a dishwasher installed. Heat is from circulated steam radiator, and the gas -fired boiler. All newer style vinyl windows in the unit. Pictures show it empty but it is currently occupied. Getting around is easy, : Watertown Sq. has great shops, restaurants, Starbucks, Whole Foods etc nearby. The brand new Arsenal Yards Mall is also nearby. Easy access to surrounding towns : Cambridge, Newton, Waltham, Arlington etc. The Mass Pike has an exit / entrance right at Watertown Sq., and it's also easy to take Storrow / Memorial Drive into town and avoid the tolls.. The Charles River runs through Watertown, and there are nice river walks, -you could cycle into Harvard or downtown if you liked. The apartment is available for Sept 1st, and we prefer the lease period to be annual from Sept 1. to Aug 31. We would need 1 month security deposit, and first month's rent to move in. Utilities not included. We are looking for considerate, friendly, responsible tenants with a sense of humor and a willingness to keep the place clean. We prefer non-smokers (outside ok) without pets, but 1 cat may be negotiable. Jen & Sean Renters responsible for electric and heating bills. Require 1st month rent and security deposit only.
