Welcome home to an ideal Hudson River Valley holiday home. Replete with beautiful scenery from every window and a traditional old farmhouse design, tastefully updated for contemporary living, this home is a reprieve from city life. Situated at the end of a one-mile dead-end road, the home is delightfully quiet, surrounded only by trees blowing in the breeze and birds. The home is set on 9 acres that give it a retreat-like feel. Walk up to a generous deck with a large table for al fresco dining. Enter into the newly rebuilt kitchen, which comes fully stocked with everything you need to cook. A large French-door refrigerator and expansive gas stove make it ideal for preparing big meals. The kitchen has a table for eating in, and a second dining table in the living room offers a change of scenery or space for guests. The living room offers comfortable seating and, in the winter, beautiful views of the Catskill Mountains. The home has 3 bedrooms. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed and is adjacent to the laundry corridor and full bath. Upstairs, there is a large landing area with a desk, bookshelf, beanbag, lounge area, and some children's toys to keep younger guests busy. There are two bedrooms upstairs. One has a queen bed, and the other has two twin beds. Overall, the house sleeps 6. For us, this holiday home is a joyful retreat. We love the nature, views, and quiet. It's close to so many great sites. We are just under 10 minutes from a lovely Hannaford grocer store that has everything you need. There are several beautiful farm stands where we regularly shop for fresh greens and baked goods. Drive 10 minutes south and you'll reach Lake Taghkanic State Park a gem with a beautiful swimming area and sandy beaches. Around the lake is a great trail to run or hike (5 miles). When you want delicious food and shopping, head into Hudson, NY, also just 15 minutes from the home. Lastly, a favorite skiiing and snowboarding spot for our family is Catamount, just 20 minutes away in Hillsdale, NY. We rent on a monthly basis, anywhere from 1 to 6 months. Rent our home and make it your retreat maybe by working remotely or perhaps by setting yourself up to visit on weekends. Try it out and see if this could be a place that you enjoy as much as we do. Lease term: 1-6 months. Water, propane (for gas stove), and electric included. Last month's rent due at signing. Bi-weekly cleaning included, with an option for weekly. No smoking.
