    What's special

When you pull into the circular driveway you are covered safely by the portico and welcomed by the front entrance. The custom made front door and sidelights with its frosted and beveled glass feel stately yet comfortable enough to invite you in. You enter into the formal living room with the central fireplace, symmetrical built in shelves, hardwood floors and enough room for the grand piano and the staircase up to the second floor. Connected is the large Formal Dining room that we use every day for most meals. It is set to seat six very comfortably and can accommodate 12 to 20 for Thanksgiving. From the living room and the dining room are two large rooms that are connected to each other by a large walk in closet, dressing room and bathroom in the back of the house. Either room can serve as the Master Bedroom and both have access to the back yard. The other room is made to be the family room, library, office and /or multi-purpose flex space. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a newer bathroom with dual vanities and vaulted ceilings that get flooded with daylight. The Back Bedroom has views of the gardens and pool, a large closet, crystal chandelier and a formal hotel feel guests will enjoy. The Front Bedroom is a rare Florida treasure. You are enveloped in pecky cypress walls and ceiling - an original feature from 1938. There is also hidden access to the "secret room" where you have room to stand and walk around...if you dare. Back downstairs, off the Dining Room is the efficient galley Kitchen which is full of light and affords great views of the front yard and driveway. It also extends into a pantry, eat-in area and bar that leads out to a large screened porch in the back yard. The screened porch has two ceiling fans, ambient lighting, access to the koi pond, the sauna and the courtyard. The antique courtyard is an original feature of this 1938 home that continues to inspire and remind us of times gone by. Covered by a canopy of trees, the back yard meanders through mature native foliage to different outdoor "rooms". Several fruit trees provide seasonal juice and there are different varieties of palms, ferns, bromeliads, orchids, bamboos, gingers, plumerias, and flowering vines repeating throughout the two thirds of an acre. Off in the clearing is the sparkling swimming pool and sun deck. There is room for lounge chairs and a large table for six chairs. There is a small pool house to store the pool toys and equipment. Behind it is a large shed/workshop where you can pursue gardening/woodworking passions. This home has been well maintained and cared for and has had only a few owners since it was moved here in 1938. There is a lot of beautiful history here. Neighborhood Description Our neighborhood is surrounded by three beautiful lakes and has no outlet. All of the streets are dead-end, It is very quiet and private. Yet when leaving the neighborhood we have the privilege of a stop light onto Brandon Blvd. One light to the west is the entrance to Regency Square and the Brandon Town Center Mall. Two lights to the west is the on ramp to I-75 with access to the Crosstown Expressway. Downtown Tampa is a short 10 minute trip.
