This is a very quiet location with little or no through traffic. It's located in Arrowbear (near Arrowbear Music Camp and Victoria's Restaurant) on a quiet, dead-end street. It's 330 friendly and is mid-distance to Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear. Arrowbear has more sunny days than all other Mountain Communities. There are sunset views from most rooms.
You enter the house through the mudroom with great views of the sunset and surrounding forest. There's a seating area which can be used as an additional dining area, and to enjoy the sunset views. The mudroom leads through French doors into the living room with a wood-burning stove and garden views.
Through the living room is an open kitchen with garden views (great bird watching). One bathroom and the new stackable washer/dryer are also on the main floor.
Upstairs is a full bathroom with bathtub, and mountain/forest/sunset views. Both bedrooms have skylights and vaulted ceilings; the master bedroom has an attached sunroom (a permitted, converted deck) with a dedicated work area, and amazing views of the mountain range, forest, and sunsets.
Heated with gas and an air-tight wood stove. (My previous tenants used the wood stove all winter and avoided turning on the heater.) Cable tv/internet service and phone available. Tenant pays gas, electric, internet/cable.
Side yard and backyard are shared space with the garden apartment. (It has a separate entrance below the main house). Owner does not live on premises full-time.
Owner pays for water. Tenant is responsible for snow removal on driveway and entryway in winter months, and raking leaves and watering the yard in warmer months.
Lease term is flexible, as is which furnishings are included.
An inventory of items included in the "furnished" rental will be provided with the lease.
