The house rests on approximately 40 oversized and over-reinforced concrete piers, drilled to bedrock. Design of the house was by a national award-winning designer and engineering was by a nationally recognized engineer. Design of the structure began two and one-half years ago and construction began a few months later. The house was designed to equal or surpass $500,000 homes being built closeby. The price of the house has been significantly lowered from initial offering.
