My husband, Justin and myself met crewing on a schooner yacht that sailed from New England to the Caribbean. The studio is a nod to his lifelong career as a wooden boat builder, sailor and now Maine Ferry Captain. Having spent years on everything from historic tall ships to luxury motor yachts, Justin has brought that master craftsmanship into our barn, hand building the live edge countertops from wood salvaged during his boat building projects. Please note that this is a "living" barn. While the loft is your private sanctuary, the ground floor serves as a practical purpose for our family. From time to time we may need to access the first floor of the barn to tend to the boat or retrieve equipment. This is a completely separate entrance. We always aim to be as discreet as possible to ensure your stay remains peaceful. Must be able to walk up and down a full set of stairs as this is a second floor studio.
