The house boasts amazing Catskill mountain views- from Black Dome and T Cole to North/South Mountain, Kaaterskill Clove, High Peak and Round Top. Kaaterskill Creek is a mile down the road and has a small swimming hole. The property is 21 acres, abutting several hundred. Old logging trails run through the woods providing easy access to the beautiful wet lands on the lower part of the property. The Piaule Resort is 5-properties down the street. The house is on Mossy Hill Road, midway between Palenville and the Village of Catskill- best of both country living and being in the middle of it all. It is less then 10 mins to the village, 20 to Hudson, Tannersville, Saugerties. 30 to Woodstock and Kingston. The first floor of the house has the living room, kitchen, dining area, 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom with tub/shower. This floor also has a large, elevated deck off the dining area. Up the center staircase, to the left is the primary bedroom with its own. To the right of the stairs is a large guest room, where I also currently have a home office (did not get a pic of this room). The second floor shares a large shared bathroom with a huge jacuzzi style tub and shower. The cellar has a 1-car garage, laundry/utility room. What I love about this place: Waking up every morning and seeing the view- what ever state it is in (the weather creates a dramatic scene)- is truly special. Quiet, peace, color, nature, looking at the stars, seeing the seasons change day-by-day all 20 mins away from the Hudson Amtrak. I am happy to rent the house partially (mostly) furnished or unfurnished. I cover lawn care, plowing, trash pick up; tenant responsible for internet (fiber), electric and heating (oil). No ATV's or snow mobiles to be used on the property. Pets on approval. Smoking is only allowed outside. There are some renovations happening in the next few weeks to the decks and front walk / landscaping around the house. Prefer a 1-year lease but will consider shorter term rentals to 6-months.
