Nestled atop a ridge, in the foothills of Mount Rainier, is where you will find this 1 bedroom, 1 bath, country living apartment. Located just outside the small town of Orting, there are endless possibilities to keep even the most adventurous outdoor enthusiasts entertained. With its own private entrance, the apartment has all the amenities you need, including a full bath, open floor plan, ample storage, large windows with plenty of natural light (even a tiny view of the top of Rainier), and its own washer and dryer. Outside you will find a small grass area and patio where you can relax your day away watching the horses graze and wander. Adjacent to the property is over 600,000 acres of timber land (that can be accessed with an annual pass) all the way to Mount Rainier. The apartment itself is above a private residence's detached garage and is a 40-45 min commute to JBLM. Monthly rent is $1600 single, $1800 for married couples. This includes water, electricity, sewer/septic, trash, and internet. Internet speed is limited, so not ideal for any work from home situations. Tenant may want to purchase own internet service. The 700 sq ft apartment is above our family's detached garage (which we use to park our truck and trailers). While the apartment is a separate building than our residence, the property is shared so we are picky about who resides here, as our family and children's safety is our top priority. We require a 1 year lease minimum, unless military orders take you elsewhere. $1500 security deposit due at signing of lease. We prefer no pets (there is not a designated fenced pet area) but would consider one small pet on a case by case basis, as we already have many animals here as part of our family. This includes horses, dogs, and barn cats. Our home is at the top of a paved hill, which at times can be slippery or snowy. This does not happen very often but it can intimidate some drivers. The road is maintained by the county and kept in good condition. 4 wheel or all wheel drive is helpful but not a necessity. To give you perspective, we tow our horse trailers up and down it all the time without any problems but worth noting if you are not a confident driver in less than optimal conditions.
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Zillow. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.
