    What's special

We’re elated to share the news that one of our favorite historical homes, Waco’s famed “Stockbroker Tudor” which is steeped in Waco history as the birthplace of the Junior League of Waco, is coming to the market! --- With its distinctive, street side stature, soaring gables, multiple chimneys, and mullioned windows; this quintessential, historically significant post-war Tudor Revival can be acquired for much, much less than you might expect! --- Originally constructed in 1924 by J.F. Shortly after the construction process ended, a feature story in the home and garden issue of the “Waco Chamber of Commerce News” detailed its impressive attributes, inside and out. Some years later, the homeowner’s daughter, Mrs. Barclay Megarity, “invited a group of women to her home for the purpose of discussing the establishment of an organization developed for public service, one which could fill the need among themselves and other young women for a better understanding of their community and its problems”. That meeting, held on 12 December 1935, launched what is now the Junior League of Waco. --- Today, the home stands in largely original condition with much of the original millwork, plaster detailing, leaded glass, and wooden doors undisturbed. Updates to the roof, HVAC systems, basement, and kitchen were performed over time; while the addition of a charming picket fence and further updates to the HVAC ducting, water heater, and electrical system w
