Hello. I’m Rhett. I have a wife and two kids. And we are moving. Sad for us. Good for one of you. Before we get into the layout and logistics of the home, just want to say thanks for reading and checking out our little home we like to call Mansion. (Note: Updated photos..I know these are trash… and MLS listing coming Thursday :) Let’s get to the neighborhood. I could be like every other agent and say “cute and charming neighborhood” … so I will. It actually is. I don’t even want to start talking about our neighbors because I’ll cry…But they are amazing! You’re also really close to the Southside Community Center and garden both of which keep getting better every year and our family loves. The River Trail is right down the road…we jog and do family walks all the time. You can take the trail to Benjamin Davis Park which is only a half mile away. When you enter the front door you’ll step onto something you probably have never stepped onto inside before. Trex. A Trex path for about ten feet to the shoe/coat closet. Why? Well, have you ever felt cramped walking into a house and you feel like you have to delicately dance out of your shoes because the entry way is so small. Not here. Rain, snow, mud…bring it all in. The living room on the left has 6 Hue can lights. So sick to set the tone. There is also an electric fireplace and bluetooth speaker. The carpet is literally the thickest pad I could buy (trust me, I asked if I could even double that up and they said no). The couch is comfy and fits the room perfect.. took me forever to find one that had the right dimensions for the room. The kitchen/dining room area is obviously not the biggest but tried to maximize the size and fell by doing open shelving, slim fridge, and a smaller dining table. It’s no Ritz Carlton but we love it! The shower/bathroom feels…just…yeah. A wood shower with a 16” shower head is a game changer. I don’t know if you’re allowed to demo a shower on a tour but ask your agent. J/k. Next to the bathroom you have two bedrooms. One has laminate and the other has that thick carpet and padding that the living room has. And then we have the GROAT (Greatest Room of All Time).. the basement master bed. Electric fireplace, floating bed with led hue lights, trellis above the bed…I could keep going but you’ll just have to come scope out the coziness. In the corner of that room is a full length mirror. “Wow cool Rhett. A mirror. Whoopie.” Not just a mirror. A sliding mirror. Slide it right and you’ll step through to Narnia. Okay okay not Narnia. But it is a secret room. A secret room with cozy carpet. You’ll probably want to put in floor cushions and a TV with The Notebook on for the fullest enjoyment. On the opposite corner of the GROAT is what we call the Peleton room. (Sorry we are keeping that bad boy). Great room to work out in with the greenery and lights. Also downstairs is a washer and dryer which we plan to leave. I would leave the deep freezer there but there’s a quarter cow in there…definitely want those steaks for din din.
