Historic Hilldale Farm is one of Fluvanna County's older farms. The homestead was built in 1813. Originally consisted over 600 acres and over the years divided among heirs. Unusual is the design of the roof, a "catslide" slope meaning the line of the roof is unbroken in forming the roof similar to that of a salt box. The current owners started farming in 2004 and the farm has been USDA certified organic in the past. The owners have renovated Hilldale during their ownership. There are about 4 fenced pastures with shelter plus a pond. Water hydrants. There are numerous outbuildings include a historic corncrib. The home is a true pleasure to own and be part of history.
