I'm a retired MIT researcher living alone and getting over a hematoma, currently in an assisted living facility in Groton MA. I installed mini-split heat pumps which do a good job of quiet cooling and heating. There is an acre of land, a doggy door, and a DogWatch electric fence to keep your pets from straying into the neighborhood, and there is parking for 4 cars. The neighbors are very friendly and helpful. The roof has 32 solar panels and there is an outdoor level 2 charging port for your electric vehicle. The driveway is plowed during the winter and the lawn is mowed during the summer. Washer/dryer are in the basement, next to my workshop. Owner pays the cost of utilities and property taxes.
