We’ve invested a lot of money into remodeling. The basement is now waterproofed and finished with a sump pump and an air filtration system installed. It is a home office and music studio. The back porch is now an all year sun room with direct access from the inside of the house. Glass windows and screens installed with locks. Additional electrical sockets as well. The patio is in phase 2. First part done 2 years ago. French drains installed in basement and around entire exterior of house. Also new sewer pipes. The existing pipes were damaged with the initial flip. Trees cut down, but roots left and they plugged the drains from the house to the street. Presently, a new brick patio is being installed, and improvements in landscaping, including a sweet gum tree being removed (including stump and root system) because it was damaging the roof and gutters. Finally, ongoing improvements in the house. Wainscoting in kitchen incorrectly installed and is buckling; cabinets put up in the kitchen using dry wall screws and without bothering to locate a stud. Ceramic kitchen floor was incorrectly installed because grouting was not sealed and is coming out all over. The cupboard situation has been corrected after we were made aware by the fact that the cupboard that held our glassware fell off the wall. Now is installed correctly. Also a pantry was installed for canned goods etc. All of the improvements, while costly, have made this a truly beautiful solid house. And all are completed. Including the patio.
