This lovely French Quarter Home is a very spacious 2 bedroom 2 bath. It has a pond and golf course view. Conveniently located 10 minutes from downtown Orangeburg, and 15 minutes to MUSC and I26. All of our rooms are handicap accessible and are equipped with elevators for second and third floors. The excitement at Hawthorne started in the early 1940's during WW2. Civilian Frenchmen were flew to right here in Orangeburg SC, where they were trained to fly the Boeing Stearman Model 75 at the Hawthorne School of Aeronautics. The Methodist Corporation purchased the property in the early 1950's and planted our signature row of Oak Trees. From there, The Methodist Oaks was born. Upon a very successful half a century run, The Methodist sold the property to a private group in 2020. In 2025, The historic name, Hawthorne, was returned and our campus went through a transition from a senior living only campus, to open and available to all ages. We look forward to continuing to live out the history of this beautiful area.
