The "Music Cottage" sits on a 20 acre oasis in the desert with lakes, trees and serenity. A favorite get-away for many acoustic musicians and composers, it is completely furnished. There is a large bell collection. 2 keyboards, guitars, a functioning pump organ and various percussion instruments. The cooler and heater work very well and there is an adjacent washroom with FREE washer and dryer. The kitchen, bedrooms and bathroom are fully furnished. The bedroom and kitchen ceilings have paintings to give a cathedral illusion. It is surrounded by a beautiful lily pond and next to a large lake for fishing, swimming and boating. Portable BBQ with outdoor seating and fire pit by the pond. There is a large, covered parking structure attached. There is satellite TV provided by owner and guests provide their own wifi with hotspots. There are gas stations with convenience stores and take-out food and bars, but any major shopping has to be done in Barstow (20 minutes away.) There is wifi available at the bookstore on the ranch and there is an art studio and tortoise preserve. Close by hiking and Mojave Desert Adventures: Calico Early Man Site, Calico, Afton Canyon, Mitchell Caverns, Lava Tube, Indian Caves and Petroglyphs Owner pays for electricity, water and trash collection. It is NOSMOKING in the house, but smoking is allowed outside. Minimum duration is 31 days, Owner must be informed about any visitors to renter, as it a gated fenced ranch. There is a 5 mph requirement on the ranch due to animals that roam free. You will have a clicker for the gate.
