Tarheel is a quite neighborhood, within three minutes of downtown. It is very private because the lots are large and there is a good amount of wooded property. There is a lot of wildlife including deer, wild turkey, fox, squirrels, rabbits, and birds. There is little traffic in the neighborhood so many of us enjoy walking. The section of Tarheel where I live is mostly traditional homes, with year round residents.
