The Cookson Campground is about 1 1/2 - 2 miles from the house and is owned by the US Army Corps of Engineers. It is equipped with swings and a playground. Cookson also offers a handful of services and attractions, including a SCUBA training center, full-service marina, and a 20-minute drive to Tahlequah, OK.
