I am renting out a furnished bedroom in the house that I live in. Located in the Garden City area of Roanoke City and just 6-7 mins. drive to Towers Mall/Carilion Hospital and a few more minutes to downtown area. Room is available by 11-125 but may be available a week earlier, only one bathroom to be shared. Furniture in the rented room is a queen sized bed (with queen mattress and box springs, mattress protector, 2 pillows, pillow protectors, bed sheets, quilted blanket, comforter, chest of drawers, side table, mini fridge,, and electric oil radiant heater. I do not allow pets....no exceptions.
Looking for someone that cleans up after themselves, MUST keep rented room clean regularly (including linens), and willing to share in cleaning the common areas with landlord that lives here (this IS NOT an option), honest, responsible, no drugs, no heavy drinking or partying, no drama, respectable towards others in the household, must have a steady source of income and be responsible enough to pay monthly rent on a timely manner.
Total rent for the room is $520 which includes all utilities. $500 security deposit. Both the full rent and security deposit must be paid in full before I will sign a lease and let someone move in. I do not accept partial payments, both when you first move in or afterwards. The kitchen has a dishwasher and you may use the kitchen for any cooking needs. Laundry room has a large capacity dryer and HE washer. House has central A/C, oil and electric heat. Dining room off of kitchen. Must have references.
I am a female and for safety reasons cannot let someone move in without references. I do require a legal month-to-month lease to be signed which means you are not stuck in a long term lease. Lease is terminated with a "written" 30 day notice by either party.
Rental room will be available by 11-1-25 but may possibly be availabe a week earlier. The lease is month to mont and is terminated with a written 30 notice given 30 days prior to beginning of the next term (month).
