Hi Everyone! We are looking for one roommate to share a great 4-bedroom apartment with us in Brookline. Please read the entire post before replying, as it will answer many of your questions. Thanks! APARTMENT BASICS: Spacious 4 bedroom/ 1 bathroom, third floor brownstone apartment with lots of sunlight located between Cleveland Circle and Englewood Avenue in Brookline, MA. The apt is right on the C-line and a 5-7 minute walk to the D-line. There is coin-operated laundry in the basement of building. The apartment does not have central air conditioning and does not have a dishwasher. The landlord of the apartment lives on the first floor of the building. As such, the building stays pretty quiet. ABOUT THE LEASE: A one-year lease is required (from September 1st, 2015 to August 31st, 2016). First months rent, last months rent, and security deposit would be due by lease signing. BEDROOM FOR RENT: Cost: $852 per month The bedroom is a good size and contains its own private office area (see pictures). OTHER MONTHLY COSTS: - Heat & Hot water: included in the rent - Electricity: ~$20-25 per person - Gas: ~$5 per person - Internet (RCN): ~$15 per person. We do not have cable. PARKING: Parking is not included in the rent but is available if needed at a cost of ~$200 per month. There is no overnight street parking allowed in Brookline, so if you had a car you would likely need to rent a spot. LOCATION: Walking distance to grocery stores (Star Market on Beacon Street and Whole Foods on Washington Street). Walking distance to tennis courts, baseball fields, Chestnut Hill Reservoir. Close to many good restaurants and coffee shops. Close to Longwood Medical Area (short T ride away). ABOUT US: One male in his early 30's (healthcare), one male in his mid-twenties (Master's student) and one female in her mid twenties (healthcare). We are quiet, friendly, and like to keep the common areas clean. Some of our hobbies include hiking, running, cooking, and reading. We are not into throwing crazy parties at the apartment and enjoy coming home to a quiet and relaxing environment. ABOUT YOU: We are looking for a quiet, easygoing and friendly roommate to share our apartment with. We are looking for someone who is courteous in common areas and who does not mind helping out with apartment cleaning each week. We are not looking for individuals who like to play loud music and entertain drunken parties so if you are someone who likes to do either of these things, we would say that this apartment is probably not the right fit for you. The entire apartment building is non-smoking, drug free, and pet free.
