Hello! We will be opening our home for tours beginning July 17th, 2021 408 N East Street is a charming one-story 2 bedroom home nestled in the heart of the Historic Oakwood District. This spacious and cozy 1,436 sq ft home was built in 1934. While the home embraces historical character, it has thoughtful, contemporary, and stylish upgrades throughout. This home is perfect for those who have a passion for culinary as the kitchen is equipped with all of the culinary delights! For those who love feeling the morning sunlight dance upon their skin while sipping their coffee and lounging on a sunroom chaise, well...we have just the spot for you. The master bedroom's king bed feels like sleeping on a cloud and the living room couch is great for cuddling up and watching movies on the 60" flat screen tv. Another sweet note to mention about this gem is the secret backyard garden. Shhh. Even on the hottest of days, one can curl up on a blanket in the grass under the sprawling River birch Tree canopy and feel comfortable. I should also mention that the neighbors always appreciate and approve of those sweet-sweet grilling aromas, so grill away my friends, grill away! The entire home is yours to enjoy. The detached garage is not accessible for guest use. The dining room/office space can also be used as a second bedroom, nursery, or yoga room. Let us know how this space best suits your needs and we will set it up accordingly. The Historic Oakwood District is conveniently located between Downtown Raleigh and the North Person Street Corridor. Both areas are less than 3 blocks away, allowing for lovely strolls to neighborhood coffee shops, restaurants, and ice cream parlors. We highly recommend Oakwood Pizza Box and Two Roosters Ice Cream Parlor. Most of the restaurants and food halls downtown offer dine-in as well as curbside takeout. ! The list of fabulous ways to get into nature is too long to list here! All of which are close by. A few to mention are the Neuse River Greenway trail which is great for walking, running, and suitable for all bike styles. If you love culture, art, and nature, the North Carolina Museum of Art Park is the place to visit! The drive takes less than 15 minutes and for the cyclists, there is a bike route for you. We highly recommend checking out the Bolin Creek Trail in Chapel Hill. This is no small creek! It is actually more like a thin river that runs peacefully over rocks and through the magical Bolin Creek forest. There is no shortage of completely shaded and unpaved trails to explore. No smoking or pets are permitted on the property. Renter is responsible for water, gas, electric, and internet. First and last month's rent is due upon signing.
