This Mission inspired Carafstman has been designated Riverside City Structure of Merit #339. It was designed by noted architect Lester S. Moore and built by the Cressmer Manufacturing Company. Moore is credited for being one of the first to recognize and appreciate Mission style as a worthy architectural form. The influence of the Mission architectural style on the design of this home is apparent in some of the architectural details. The original owners of the house were Issac & Sophie Logan. Ike Logan was the County Recorder, and was also known as "the bell ringer of Mt. Rubidoux." The house is full of period details - wood wainscoting, picture molding, box beams, pocket doors, bay window, asymmetrical pillars, and skyblue marble fireplace and porch pillars. The original floorplan, character and details of the house have remained almost entirely unaltered and have been carefully maintained and preserved over the years.
