    Update, combi boiler, for the hot water heating system, was replaced in November with a new Navien NCB-180E on demand, for both home heating and all hot water taps. Solid built with no foundation cracks. Underside of flooring visible from basement. Older oak hardwood floors. Maple trim and cabinets. Older style tile in both bathrooms. Tub, sink, and toilet (Crane) match tile in main bath. Large lot, almost one acre- .95ac. Being on the main rt 3 Hinton Rd. has its advantages. Our power is among the first to come back on after a storm. I've heard generators running for days back behind me while I enjoyed having my power returned quickly, mostly less than 8 hours. Snow plows are keeping Rt 3 open so getting out is easier. Crime along the main Rd. seems less I think because of the increased chances of being seen. I do have 8 cameras and an alarm system so this is another protection against crime. Having a two thirds basement and windowed carport adds over 1200 more sq. ft. to use. As large outbuilding also comes with the home. Set in the backyard it is about 12 ft. wide and 20 ft. long. This older home is built very well using oak and some hemlock. Very solid. Fireplace has gas logs so it can heat the 1472 sq. ft. if power were to be off. Home is heated with a on demand combi boiler that makes hot water when a faucet is opened or the thermostat clicks on. Never runs out of hot water. Unit is mounted to the basement wall and uses natural gas. I'm on the budget with my gas bill being 59 dollars a month. Last year was 49 dollars a month and I ended the year slightly ahead, less than 100 dollars. We keep the heat on 71 degrees. Every upstairs window and door has been replaced in the last 10 years. We are 9 houses past Shady High School going toward White Oak, on the right side, same side of the road as the school. To take a look is free so come on out.
