Southern hospitality awaits you in this newly renovated and lovingly restored historical home in the country. Comes fully furnished with all utilities included. Great care has been taken to preserve the history and character of this beautiful property, while updating it with modern amenities guests are sure to enjoy. Situated on almost 3 acres, surrounded by farmland, woods and gently rolling pastures, the views are simply gorgeous. The space: Yum Yum Farmhouse is a truly special, one-of-a-kind home with so much character - an authentic piece of the rural south. It's spacious with over 2000 square feet with a great layout that's perfect for families in need of temporary housing or corporate housing. The home comfortably sleeps six, with 3 spacious bedrooms, a large living room, separate family room and fabulous gourmet kitchen that's well equipped for all your cooking needs. We also have a coffee bar with a starter set of complimentary Starbucks coffee and assorted teas. There's even a seasonal hot cocoa bar! And with the exception of a few antiques, all the furnishings are brand new in fall 2022! The living room features a vaulted ceiling, comfy sofa and chairs and a newly installed wood-burning stove insert in the fireplace. This is such a great place to relax and read, play board games or put together a puzzle from our small collection. In the den, you can tune in to your favorite shows on the 55 inch smart TV with Dish satellite. There's a variety of channels to choose from, including a sports package. We also have Netflix and other apps you can sign into with your own account. Please note we have satellite internet at this property and although we have unlimited regular speed data, there is a limited amount of high speed data. There's always plenty for most activities such as internet browsing, email and streaming a few movies or shows on Netflix. And the quality is good. But it is not sufficient for gaming or zoom meetings, etc. The den is also a lovely room to just unplug and relax in. The sofa has down-blend cushions and is very deep. It's a great place for a quick afternoon nap. There is a wall of windows overlooking the backyard in this room - and if you watch closely, you might even spot a deer or two, or perhaps a wild turkey or raccoon from time to time. There's an abundance of wild life in the area. Don't be surprised to hear coyotes in the distance in the evenings. And there's birds in all seasons. We have a bird feeder we put out in the winter for bird watching. At the end of the day, you'll appreciate the comfortable beds in all of the bedrooms. The primary has a king sized bed with a memory foam mattress, elegant, 100% cotton sheets and a warm, plush feather duvet. You'll want to sink right in. There's also a cozy reading nook with a swivel upholstered chair and ottoman and a reading lamp. The primary ensuite bath is luxurious and features a clawfoot soaking tub and a separate tiled walk-in shower. The vanity has his/hers sinks, dual mirrors and plenty of storage. Bedroom 2 is on the back of the home with lots of privacy and great views of the property. There's two sets of windows to really enjoy the view. The bed is queen sized with a super comfy memory foam mattress, 100% cotton sheets and a cotton quilt. There's an antique mahogany dresser and a closet for storage. This bedroom is located right next to the hall bathroom. Bedroom 3 is on the opposite side of the home and has an adorable built-in window seat flanked by a closet on either side. Outdoors you'll find a fire pit with Adirondack seating - a great way to spend a cool fall or winter evening. The nights are so peaceful here and the sky is perfect for stargazing on clear evenings. You can see so many stars! You may be wondering why we named this property Yum Yum Farmhouse. It's such a funny and cute name. Well it's actually named after the area it's located in. Local tradition states that the community was named when U.S. Senator Kenneth McKellar asked storekeeper John J. Garnett what to name the new post office and Garnett answered, "Just call it Yum Yum. There won't be another name like it." Well, we hope you'll agree, there's not another home like Yum Yum Farmhouse. Come and stay a few days or a few months. We'd be happy to have you. Guest access: Guests will have access to the entire property, but please note the barn in the back is not on our land. It is old and could be dangerous so please do not go into it. Owner pays for all utilizes including electric, lawn care, satellite internet/wifi and basic cable. This is a fully furnished rental - so all furniture, housewares and linens are provided. Also included is a professional cleaning service every 4 to 6 weeks. This is a short-term/mid-term rental - ideal for families that are in the process of relocating and in need of temporary housing. Also ideal for contract workers in the area or corporate housing. Lease terms are available for a minimum of 28 days or up to 6 months. Stays for shorter or longer terms are negotiable. A refundable $1500 damage deposit is required and a credit and background check will be run prior to approval. No pets allowed. No additional guests are allowed without prior approval from owner. No parties or events are allowed. There are 2 exterior security cameras on the property. These are there for your safety and to ensure no unauthorized guests are on the premises.
