    What's special

    Spend the 4th of July on the river! This is a lovely one-acre waterfront lot that my wife and I have owned for thirty years. It is 160' of beautiful sandy shoreline in a protected bay area of the Rappahannock River. The beach is perfect to pull up a boat or just let little kids run right out into the water. It's a very gradual slope and like walking on carpet. There are no building restrictions on the property and you can start using it for camping or picnicking right away. We were planning on building there but life had other plans for us. We have gotten a soil test and obtained a septic easement for a conventional system. The septic permit has lapsed and you would need to reapply for it. We do have an easement on the road to Route 630 and do not have any maintenance responsibility for the gravel road. A contractor for Dominion Energy is using the road as access to the power lines and will re-gravel the road when the "de-mobilize."
