Cabin constructed in the 1970's with logs from an 1800's barn. About 1/4 mile from the Appalachian Trail. Less than 1/2 hour from Greeneville, TN, 20 minutes from Hot Springs, N.C., or be in Asheville or Gatlinburg in about an hour! Quiet serenity in an easy to maintain mountain hideaway. Sit on the porch or deck and relax, or light the fire pit and make s'mores! The lower level is the living room, kitchen, and bath (clawfoot tub!); the upper loft is the bedroom and huge closet with several dressers and bureaus for an incredible amount of storage. For additional storage, there's a shed that easily holds the BBQ grill and the few tools you'll need for occasional yard touch-ups. The cabin is heated by an amazingly efficient infrared unit and a propane "log stove". Cooling is done with a roll-about a/c that vents thru a window. There is also a security system that includes 4 outside cameras that record by motion and store for 30 days. It comes furnished with all amenities including a log bed. There are a few personal items that we'll be taking, but all else, including: refrigerator, stove, microwave, flat screen tv (outside antenna works great!), washer, & dryer are staying. The washer & dryer are contained in the large fiberglass unit on the deck. The actual lot size is .6 acre. The cabin is surrounded by the National Forest on 2 sides, the road in the front, and property I own on the 4th.
