A large, historic farmhouse outside of Winchester, VA is for rent for $3,200 a month. Downtown is about a 10-15 minute drive. The house has four large, bright bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen is huge with an eat-in island, new cabinetry, and new stainless steel appliances. The floors are refinished hardwood, LVP in the bathrooms and kitchen, and newly-installed carpet in the living room. The dining room has a historic mantle and fireplace with antique cast-iron fireback that dates to the late 1700s. Up the wide, central wooden staircase are two front bedrooms and a central hall connecting to the additional two bedrooms, upstairs bath (with new stacked washer & dryer) and south-facing sunroom. In the yard, there is also an original stone summer kitchen, which can be used for bike/gardening/tool storage or a small studio. Surrounding the yard are maturing maple trees and the parking (2-3 cars) is right by the back porch of the house. We recently renovated the entire house, replaced all of the old windows, and got a new roof within the past two years. It is on a private well and septic system. There is central heating and air, a gas furnace, and electric heat pump (which can get expensive in the cold winter months). The house is on an 800-acre active farm, with expansive views of corn and soy fields, apple orchards, and the southern mountain ridge. This rental is of just the house and immediate unfenced yard and has no access to the rest of the land or orchards.
