    What's special

A quiet country road leads to this developed 2-acre lot. Located in the coastal community of Perry, the lot has a drive, power, drilled well and septic previously used for a mobile home that has been removed. The lot has a building site cleared with the remaining lot being wooded with a variety of trees. The property is located within a 15-minute drive to Eastport - one of two cities located in Washington County. In Eastport, there is numerous public access to the waterfront and parks with trails along the waterfront. A deepwater port and public pier are also located in Eastport. The 45th parallel runs thru the town of Perry marking the spot that is located halfway between the North Pole and the Equator. Perry has a small grocery market that offers some of the freshest meats and local produce while Eastport has a much larger IGA. One of the highlights in Perry is the Fall Festival featuring local artisans and their produce and homemade gifts and crafts. Folks from all over the county visit the area at this time. The larger area - Washington County, also known as the Sunrise County - offers diverse public land access - from the Federal Moosehorn National Refuge which is approximately 30,000 acres of federally protected lands. There are numerous trails open to the public in both divisions - the Edmunds Division offers trails along the bold ocean and the Baring Division which is more inland and consists of woodland, fields, bogs, streams, lakes, rivers, and granite outcroppings. Close by in Pembroke, you can catch the Sunrise Trails - a Rail to Trail system consisting of 80+ miles of gravel-bed trails open to 4 season recreation - horseback riding, hiking, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing to name a few. The trails run from Calais to Ellsworth and meander through woods, fields, bogs, and more following the old railroad tracks. Something for everyone in Downeast Maine - A great place to live and play.
