Reedville is on the western shore. The local roads are used by ATVs, bikes, golf carts. There are only a few smaller cars on the Island. Bikes and golf carts are available for rent at the dock. The beach is only a short walk or bike ride from the cottage. Tangier has a Fire Department, an air strip, post office, a grade 1-12 combined school (class sizes are small). There is also a grocery store, medical facility, several restaurants, and Bed & Breakfasts. Plan your day of sightseeing on this quaint little island. Washington, DC is only 154 miles from Crisfield, MD. You can also get to Norfolk, VA (125 miles), Dover, Delaware (91 miles), and Richmond, VA (210 miles), among other cities.
