    This home was originally designed by the noted architect John Staub in 1962. Stylistically it was noted to be Texas-Louisiana architecture. Staub's "southern" designs in Houston date back to the 1920's. The original owners sold the home in 1982 to Lacey Neuhaus whose estate sold the home to the current owners in 2007. The new owners hired architect Ryan Gordon of Gordon Partners to update and enlarge this historic and beautiful home that was completed in 2009. The back of the house was removed and rebuilt with seamless transition upstairs and down to the original Staub plan. A new Island kitchen, breakfast room, den and butler's pantry were added downstairs as well as a large laundry room and mud room with a back stair to the second level and access to a new two car garage. The formal entry, living room, dining room and library are the beautiful spaces Staub originally designed. The fireplace and other features remain intact in these spaces now all updated with all modern wiring, A/C and Heat, Sophisticated Lutron lighting, Sonos Sound, etc. Upstairs, two new bedrooms were added as part of the Ryan Gordon plan along with a wonderful upstairs family/media room with a vaulted beamed ceiling and home office. The master suite in the original Staub home was completely redesigned taking in the middle front bedroom, baths and closets to create a beautifully appointed master bath with his and her closets. The third floor was finished out creating great storage closets and a children's game room. Interior design by J. Randall Powers. The home has handsome outdoor elevations featuring the original Cedar Bayou Brick, a front porch and copper gutters and downspouts. Mature landscaping and a private wooded setting. A fine home.
