    Nestled in the REDWOODS, is our LARGE, beautiful, safe, clean and comfortable house. The room for rent is a large (14.5' x 14.5') sized room with a closet and a window looking out onto the garden. There is also extra STORAGE SPACE outside of the room. A SMALL DOG is WELCOME. There is currently a SMALL sized female dog here named Toby. This is a 5 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2300 sq ft ranch style house. The grounds are even larger than the house (3/4 acre). The living room has an ENTERTAINMENT CENTER (large TV/ CD/DVD/RECORD PLAYER/ TAPE/ PS3), and a GYM (4 different CARDIO MACHINES/ INVERTER/FREE WEIGHTS). The very LARGE KITCHEN has 3 refrigerators and all the cooking appliances you could need. You would share a whole fridge with one other person. The DINING ROOM is 17.5' x 14' and has beautiful chairs and table. There are (2) bathrooms, you would share one with ONE other courteous person. There is on-site laundry. We have very SAFE on-site parking and you would have your own designated spot - with room for visitors as well. The kitchen, pantry, living room, dining room, patios, river gazebo, hot tub deck, hammocks and back yard, are ALL communal, large and spacious. There is a designated outside smoking area. The property has very large grounds with a large VEGTABLE GARDEN, a dozen FRUITING TREES, and an arbor with FRUITING VINES. About 120 ft away from the house IN A REMOTE CORNER is a APIARY with 3 hives of HONEY BEES. We harvest fresh honey 3x a year. We also have a small fungiculture area where we grow different kinds of MUSHROOMS in the wet season. There is a SMALL CREEK (WILD fish/ducks) with a forested area on the northern border of the property. This area has been tastefully developed with a small private BEACH, a RIVER GAZEBO that seats 6 to 8, and a DECK overlooking the creek with a HOT TUB (lit for nighttime use). There are lots of WILDLIFE that visit us (INCLUDING deer, ducks, heron, hawks, humming birds, turkeys, and others). Additionally, there is a free range CHICKEN YARD/COOP and we get a DOZEN FRESH EGGs per day. A backyard patio with table, for outside dining, 3 grills (wood pellet, gas, and fire) and a shaded outdoor patio for relaxing (plus 2 hammocks). We also have a second patio overlooking the creek. Our CREEKSIDE HOME is practically a resort. It certainly a SLICE OF PARADISE, with special, cool PEOPLE who are talented, respectful, and cooperative! I'm looking for an individual who is responsible, interesting, quiet, and respects and appreciates the people and the FABULOUS space. To move in you would have to put down 1st months rent and a security deposit equal to 2x rent (so 3x total). The utilities (no water cost) are split equally between everyone. The location is very convenient; to Berkeley/Richmond (80 or 580); to Oakland (80 or Caldicott tunnel); to Orinda (San Pablo Dam Rd); to Marin (Richmond parkway/bridge): to SF (bridge or ferry). Additionally, hi-ways 4 and 680 are close. BART stations (Orinda/El Cerrito) are 10/15 min DRIVE away. The location is secluded, we have the stream/forest to the north and you cant see the house from the street. However, there is a gas station, a market, a restaurant and bar within a 5 min WALK to the corner of Valley View and San Pablo Dam Road. There are many malls, 5 supermarkets, shops and restaurants within a 5 to 10 min DRIVE. We haven't had an opening in this wonderful house for 1.5 years. Shared bills/utilities are split 6 ways. Shared bills include PG & E, internet, cleaning, garbage, and paper products. We do not pay for water. Shared bills range from about $75 (summer) to $200 (winter) per month. Small pets are welcome. Tenants have a designated parking spot. Any smoking is outdoors only please. Besides the lease, we also have a roommate agreement for clarification of interaction between people.
