It was reconstructed in the early 1980's by skilled craftsmen of an Owensboro church. A rustic log cabin and barn that stood on church property provided much of the building material. The two structures were dismantled, moved and mingled to build a lakefront retreat for the priests who served the congregation. The cabin was later sold to raise funds for the church and has continued to be a peaceful and fun-filled gem nestled in the woods of Rough River Lake.
