The house was built in 1905 and was remodeled in 1927 when the owners added a large addition to the back of the house. It has a large wrap around front porch on which the owner has spent countless hours. Nearly every window in the house has views overlooking the valley below. The porch overlooks beautiful gardens in stone terraces. The house is spread out with large rooms and original curly and tiger maple trim, doors and staircase. The handcrafted trim continues throughout the home. Even the baseboards are curly maple. There's a large Vermont marble fireplace in the drawing room of 22'x29'. The kitchen has a large original walk in pantry. There are glass door built ins in the breakfast nook. You can have your coffee there while also having a great view over the valley. There is a ten stall barn with frost free water pump, power and a large hayloft attached to an orginal carriage barn with a cement floor. There are maples and apple trees, and enough pasture for quite a few animals. The garden spot has been extremely productive and all organic. The basement is huge with another set of washer and dryer, a workshop area and plenty of storage. The house has new plumbing, electrical, new or remodeled bathrooms and kitchen, new metal roofs and a rehabbed garage apartment. The master bedroom ceiling was vaulted recently, and three large skylights added. The historic features have been carefully preserved. There's nothing to do but move in.
