This winter rental, available for rent between early November, 2025 and May 15, 2026, has no equal in the area. Our fully furnished cottage is part of our family's 100-year-old camp property on beautiful Long Pond. The 2 BD, 2 BA cottage sits only 15 feet back from the water, partially hidden behind the pond-edge shrubbery. The views are amazing. You can cook in the modern kitchen, eat dinner or sit in the Great Room and watch sunsets, wildlife and the changing seasons. We built this cottage to be warm and cozy with lots of insulation, high-efficiency HVAC, insulated windows, and a high-efficiency wood stove. The high ceilings, ample windows and unique detailing are picture-perfect and very comfortable. The cottage is located on 6 wooded acres at the end of a private road. During the winter, the remainder of the property is unoccupied. Although it feels like being in the far north woods, you are only four miles away from stores and restaurants, and one hour from Boston. The excellent fiber optic internet allows for remote work. Each bedroom has a king-sized bed with an ensuite bath. The Primary Suite takes up the second floor. With views into the woods on two sides and an overview of the lake on the third, the primary bedroom feels like a treehouse. You can work at the antique hotel desk while taking in views of the lake or curl up and read a book in the recessed window area. The walk-in closet has plenty of built-in drawers, shoe shelves and hanging space. The first-floor bedroom has hanging space and a bureau for clothing storage. There is a sliding door to the bathroom, which also has a stacked laundry and a second door leading to the mud room. The mud room contains a coat closet and has plenty of space for pulling off wet shoes and coats. A monthly utility fee of $300 covers electric, propane, water, sewer, and internet . Tenant must provide their own trash removal. We have arranged with our neighbors for snow plowing of the drive (although no plowing has been required in the past three years). In case of a power outage, the house runs on an automatic backup generator with enough capacity to run for a week. Lease terms are two to seven months. This is a seasonal lease, the owner will occupy the cottage in early to mid-May 2026 All utilities are included in rent except for trash removal which is the responsibility of the tenant. This is a furnished private home. Parking is outdoors. The private, sandy road is plowed up to the parking area. Standard lease required. Background check required.
