    This 2015 timber frame home is tucked away in 5 acres of mature woodland but only 15 minutes to Belfast or Camden. It is very well insulated and warm all winter, 200 feet from a paved road. Listed on Zillow, Trulia, and Hot Pads. If you see it on Craigslist they are scamming. We park at the driveway entrance and walk to the house but you can certainly drive all the way to the house in any vehicle. Winter is easy, burning just 2/3 Cord of wood to keep house at 75 all winter. We built it ourselves and are outgrowing it with young children. There is a bedroom downstairs and an upper loft that we also use as a bedroom. The loft has standing room and is a good spot for a queen bed and a bike trainer/yoga practice. The location is amazing. Views out the living room over the St. George river valley, and an amazing fire pit. Behind the house is a hill of blueberry barrens with views to coastal mountains and the ocean. There are 2K acres of open access land for hiking, snowshoeing, etc. Bike to town for Threshers Brewing, Fraternity Village General Store or Lincolnville General Store. An established perennial garden awaits you in spring. The woods are flooded with wild flowers and the garden produces very well. You're welcome to use the very nice chicken coop or the 10x10 storage shed. All firewood is provided and the renter will pay utilities, which average $50 a month total for electric and propane. This is to encourage renters to heat with wood rather than rely on the back-up electric baseboard. A Honda generator and snowblower are included to help with occasional power outages and heavy snows. Things to consider, we hang dry our laundry all year. Either indoors in winter on a hanging rack (included) or outside on the line. There is no clothes dryer, on purpose. In the kitchen we use a mini fridge, and have an extra on the back porch for overflow. There is also a medium sized chest freezer on the back porch. House can remain partially furnished with great condition couch, glider chair, kitchen table/chairs. You will need to bring your own mattresses. This is in a community of tight knit neighbors and you should be prepared to be considerate regarding noise. This is not a shooting range or a place to let your animals roam. We are looking for tenants who will really appreciate the location and access to year round outdoor activities. You can walk to Levenseller pond for swimming or take a canoe out on Lawry pond. You'll hear loons calling, coyotes howling, and see so many turkeys in the backyard. Renter pays propane and electric (avg. $50/month total) No clothes dryer No huge fridge No DSL, renter would need to buy satellite service. We use an iPad with unlimited data. We love animals and pets, however, if your cats are elderly and are incontinent, this is not the place for them. We are open to 6 month leases but would prefer 12 month. Discounts accrued over your rental period will be awarded at the end. Discounts will be accrued by paying on time, communicating well with landlords, and maintaining the home and property well. A great condition Old Town canoe and paddles will be left for your enjoyment. All wood is provided, it is currently split and stacked with a 3 year supply.
