    Overview

Private 26-acre mountain retreat with log cabin just one hour from Reno. Located at approximately 6,100 feet elevation, this property offers a mix of pasture, trees, and sage along with a seasonal pond and natural spring, creating a quiet and scenic setting with plenty of space to roam and enjoy the outdoors. The log cabin was built in 2006 using trees harvested directly from the property, giving it a character that fits naturally with the surrounding landscape. The cabin is approximately 480 sq ft and includes 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and a loft. The cabin has deferred maintenance and would benefit from some TLC, offering the opportunity for the next owner to improve and personalize a unique mountain property. According to information obtained from Plumas County, an additional dwelling may be permitted on the property, creating potential for expansion, a second cabin, or a small family compound, subject to buyer verification and county approval. Located just 6 miles from Frenchman Lake and providing convenient access to thousands of acres of Plumas National Forest, the property is well suited for recreation, a private mountain getaway, or an outdoor basecamp for exploring the surrounding area. For the right person seeking a quiet rural lifestyle, the property could also serve as a full-time residence, as there are full-time residents in Dixie Valley. Included with the property are a 53-ft Conex storage container, generator, beds, and couch, allowing the next owner to begin using the property right away. Rural mountain location with seasonal winter access conditions. Additional property information and documentation available. Please request via Email. Property is off grid. Conventional financing not available.
What the owner loves about this home
What I love about this place is the peace and quiet. It’s 26 acres with a small log cabin built from trees harvested right on the property. There’s a seasonal pond and spring, and you’re only about 6 miles from Frenchman Lake with easy access to huge areas of Plumas National Forest. It feels very private, but Reno is still only about an hour away.
