Small, tranquil mountain cabin on an owned .4 acre lot in a private development at 6800' elevation off of State Route 4 near Bear Valley, Lake Alpine, Spicer Reservoir, etc. The Main level consists of three small rooms plus a full kitchen with apartment sized appliances. Two of these rooms have pine floors, the other currently has an indoor/outdoor type carpeting, kitchen has tile flooring. We use this level for cooking, dining, setting and sleeping. Above the center section is a small sleeping loft. Downstairs consists of a fantastic huge shower with dual shower heads, professional tile work, western red cedar ceiling, a huge granite boulder, 4 windows and a full light door. Next to this area is the vanity, toilet, dressing area with a stacked washer/drier. Also downstairs is a small room that could be used for sleeping, office, storage, etc. it has a closet as well. Disclaimer: getting downstairs requires going through a hatch in the main level floor and descending a ship's ladder. Also, the head clearance downstairs is about 6' or so, except in the shower where it's much better. The cabin has two radiant heaters and one gas log stove, all propane fired and on thermostats, it's very comfortable in all seasons. There is a 500 gallon propane tank. Newly installed power pole and meter/breaker box at 200 amps (way overkill, this house uses very little electricity). Engineered septic system is in good shape and operating properly. The community has it's own water system which just underwent a $4million upgrade including the addition of fire hydrants, one of which is within about 200' of the cabin. Parts of the subdivision are plowed in the winter, including the main road in from the highway and to within about 150 yards of the cabin which requires a snowshoe hike on nearly level ground to get to the cabin in the snow.
