This is an older house modernized by the former president of The Architect's Collaborative in Cambridge, MA. We have since updated the kitchen, 1/2 bath and laundry area on the first floor, with suitable new cabinets and modern appliances. The interior and exterior of the house were repainted in Sept., 2012. There's an artist's studio or office over the garage, with a vaulted ceiling, hardwood floors and a sleeping loft. It has a full bathroom for conversion to a Mother in Law suite. There's also a finished attic on the third floor, with vaulted ceilings, which can be used as a music room, TV room or another studio. Neighborhood Description This neighborhood is made up of single family homes built on similar, but not identical, designs of a developer in the 1910's. It's populated by mostly professional people who work in Boston, Cambridge, and surrounding towns, as well as professionals who work at home. It's a lively group, and we often socialize during the holidays. There are occasional block parties, and it's the kind of place where people will watch out for your kids, if needed.
