    What's special

    The home is located at the head of a cul-de-sac and thus has a larger lot (10,745 sq. ft) and backyard than the surrounding homes. It is in a very quiet, safe neighborhood (Summerfield) with friendly people. Lots of trees were preserved when they developed the neighborhood. We pay a monthly association fee, which allows homeowners to have access to the pool, tennis court, and clubhouse, which is shared with condo owners (Cannon Forge)! It also pays for private snow plowing of roads and for landscaping along the roads (you do your own landscaping for your home, of course). All utilities are underground, so there are no above-ground wires, which makes it such a beautiful community! We have closed off the loft, which has essentially turned it into our third bedroom. We are the original homeowners, since the house was built in January, 1994. Summerfield was developed by a Swedish company named Skanco, which was the real estate arm of Skanska, USA -- a well-respected worldwide development company with many U.S. offices - the closest being in the Boston Seaport District. https://www.usa.skanska.com/ In 2020, we completely replaced the driveway. Most people just repave, but we spent $3,400 to have it dug out and a whole new 3" layer of asphalt was laid/paved. In 2019, we replaced many windows with Energy Star efficiency. In 2018, we completely replaced the roof, which now has 30-year Certain-Teed shingles, protective ice-dam flashing, etc. In 2017, we installed a brand new $14,000 Trane High Efficiency 2-Stage Gas Furnace (S9V2) with variable speed blower and a Trane 2-Stage High Efficiency Air Conditioning system (XL18i). Also a XL950 Comfort Link Thermostat. This 96% efficient system has cut our gas and electric bills in half (replaced the original 80% efficient Amana system). We also completed the Mass Save Air Sealing and Insulation work for the attic and knee storage areas. In 2016, we replaced the three large (36" x 72") windows in the living room with high efficiency, tempered glass Pella Windows. In 2015, we installed a new garage door. We replaced stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator with stainless steel models (Samsung and Whirlpool). Neighborhood Description Please see home description and things we love about the home (below.)
